Intended purpose
Moore gallstone scoop is intended for use by hepatobiliary and general surgeons to scoop and retrieve biliary calculi from the gallbladder or common bile duct during open cholecystectomy or choledochotomy. The scoop is applied within the biliary lumen. The scoop profile allows collection and retrieval of multiple small calculi in a single pass within the biliary lumen. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
