Intended purpose
Adson nerve dissecting hook is intended for use by neurosurgeons and plastic surgeons to retract and protect nerve structures during nerve dissection and repair procedures. The hook is applied to peripheral or cranial nerve tissue within the operative field. The blunt hook tip allows atraumatic retraction of nerve structures without compression of the nerve fascicles. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
