Intended purpose
Farabeuf retractor is intended for use by surgeons and surgical assistants to manually retract soft tissue and maintain wound exposure during open surgical and bone surgical procedures. The retractor is applied to soft tissue and periosteum within the open surgical wound. The double-ended design provides retraction at two anatomical depths within the same wound. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
