Intended purpose
Volkmann bone spoon is intended for use by orthopaedic surgeons to scoop and remove bone tissue and debris from bone cavities during orthopaedic operative procedures. The spoon is applied to osseous tissue within the operative surgical field. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses in accordance with the reprocessing instructions supplied by the manufacturer.
