Intended purpose
Bone lever is intended for use by orthopaedic surgeons to protect and retract soft tissue and periosteum during orthopaedic operative procedures. The lever is applied to the bone surface and surrounding soft tissue within the operative surgical field. The smooth blade surface allows atraumatic passage along the bone surface beneath the soft tissue envelope. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
