Intended purpose
Cauchoix bone gouge is intended for use by orthopaedic surgeons to shape and remove cortical and cancellous bone during bone reconstruction procedures. The gouge is applied to osseous tissue within the operative surgical field. The concave or convex gouge profile is designed for specific bone shaping requirements in orthopaedic reconstruction. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
