Intended purpose
Gracey periodontal curette is intended for use by dentists and dental hygienists to remove subgingival calculus deposits and necrotic cementum from tooth root surfaces during periodontal treatment. The curette is applied to tooth root surfaces within the periodontal sulcus of dental patients. Each Gracey curette number is designed for a specific tooth surface and root angulation. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
