Intended purpose
Aneurysm needle is intended for use by vascular and neurosurgeons to thread ligature material around the neck or body of an aneurysm during aneurysm ligation procedures. The needle is applied to the aneurysm sac within the vascular operative field. The curved needle tip allows controlled passage around the aneurysm neck in the confined surgical field of vascular neurosurgery. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
