Intended purpose
Semb dissector is intended for use by thoracic surgeons to dissect and separate thoracic tissue planes, including pulmonary hilar structures, during open thoracic surgical procedures. The dissector is applied to thoracic soft tissue within the thoracic operative field. The blunt dissector tip provides atraumatic separation of hilar tissue planes without vascular injury. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
