Intended purpose
IUCD removal hook is intended for use by gynaecologists to locate and retrieve intrauterine devices with lost or absent strings from the uterine cavity of female patients. The hook is introduced through the uterine cervical canal into the uterine cavity. The hook tip is designed to engage the IUD body or threads within the uterine cavity for atraumatic extraction. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
