Intended purpose
Skin hook is intended for use by surgeons and plastic surgeons to engage and retract skin edges during plastic, reconstructive, and general surgical wound closure procedures. The hook is applied to the dermis and epidermis at the wound margins. The single or double prong profile penetrates the dermis without damaging the epidermis or subcutaneous fat during wound edge manipulation. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
