Intended purpose
Osteotome is intended for use by orthopaedic and oral surgeons to make controlled cuts through cortical bone during osteotomy and bone reconstruction procedures. The osteotome is applied to osseous tissue within the operative surgical field. The osteotome is driven by surgical mallet to create controlled through-and-through cortical bone cuts. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
