Intended purpose
Poirier bone gouge is intended for use by orthopaedic surgeons to shape and remove cancellous bone during bone reconstruction procedures. The gouge is applied to osseous tissue within the operative surgical field. The fine gouge tip provides access for precise bone removal in confined anatomical spaces. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
