Intended purpose
Amputation saw is intended for use by orthopaedic and general surgeons to section cortical bone during amputation and major bone resection procedures. The saw is applied to osseous tissue within the operative surgical field. The saw blade is drawn across the bone surface in a back-and-forth motion to achieve complete bone section. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
