Intended purpose
Gigli saw is intended for use by orthopaedic and neurosurgeons to perform craniotomy and bone division procedures by passing a flexible wire saw through or around bone to create precise bone cuts. The saw is applied to cortical bone within the operative surgical field. The flexible wire saw is passed through a guiding instrument around or through the bone to be sectioned. The device is for single patient use.
