Intended purpose
Ribemont insufflator is intended for use by gynaecologists to insufflate the uterine cavity or peritoneal space during gynaecological diagnostic or operative procedures. The instrument is introduced through the uterine cervical canal or body wall access point. The device is used to assess tubal patency or to establish a pneumoperitoneum for gynaecological procedures. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
