Intended purpose
Pley speculum is intended for use by gynaecologists to expose the vaginal canal and cervix during gynaecological examination or operative procedures. The speculum is inserted into the vaginal canal of female patients. The speculum maintains vaginal patency to allow unobstructed access for examination and instrumentation. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
