Intended purpose
Eye magnet is intended for use by ophthalmologists to retrieve intraocular or periocular metallic foreign bodies from within or adjacent to the eye. The instrument is applied in proximity to the metallic foreign body within or adjacent to the ocular structures. The magnetic field generated by the device attracts and dislodges ferromagnetic foreign bodies from within or around ocular structures. The device is reusable.
