Intended purpose
Pratt cystic hook is intended for use by hepatobiliary and general surgeons to engage and control the cystic duct during cholecystectomy and biliary surgical procedures. The hook is applied to the cystic duct within the hepatobiliary operative field. The hook profile allows controlled passage around the cystic duct for engagement and retraction during cholecystectomy. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
