Intended purpose
Pelvimeter is intended for use by obstetricians and midwives to measure pelvic dimensions of pregnant patients during obstetric assessment. The instrument is applied externally to the maternal pelvis or internally to the pelvic inlet. The instrument provides objective measurement data to supplement clinical assessment during obstetric evaluation. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
