Intended purpose
Doyen vaginal speculum is intended for use by gynaecologists and obstetricians to retract and expose the vaginal canal and cervix during operative gynaecological procedures. The speculum is inserted into the vaginal canal of female patients. The speculum provides continuous mechanical retraction of the vaginal walls without requiring additional instruments. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
