Intended purpose
Cusco bivalve vaginal speculum is intended for use by gynaecologists, obstetricians, and midwives to dilate and maintain opening of the vaginal canal for direct visualisation of the vaginal walls and cervix during gynaecological examination and procedures. The speculum is inserted into the vaginal canal of female patients. The speculum provides continuous mechanical retraction of the vaginal walls without requiring additional instruments. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
