Intended purpose
Uterine curette is intended for use by gynaecologists to scrape and evacuate the uterine endometrial lining within the uterine cavity during diagnostic or therapeutic curettage. The instrument is introduced through the uterine cervical canal of female patients. The curette tip may be sharp or blunt and is selected according to the clinical indication and tissue type. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
