Intended purpose
Uterine biopsy aspirating curette is intended for use by gynaecologists to obtain endometrial tissue samples from the uterine cavity for histological examination. The instrument is introduced through the uterine cervical canal into the uterine cavity of female patients undergoing endometrial biopsy. The aspiration mechanism collects tissue through negative pressure without requiring mechanical scraping, reducing the risk of uterine perforation. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
