Intended purpose
Langenbeck retractor is intended for use by surgeons and surgical assistants to manually retract soft tissue and maintain wound exposure during open surgical procedures. The retractor is applied to soft tissue edges within the open surgical wound. The right-angle hook blade provides a stable retraction force on the wound edge during open surgery. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
