Intended purpose
Deaver retractor is intended for use by surgeons to retract and maintain exposure of abdominal organs and tissue during open abdominal and pelvic surgical procedures. The retractor is applied to visceral and soft tissue structures within the abdominal or pelvic operative field. The smooth curved blade profile is designed to conform to the abdominal wall and visceral contours during retraction. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
