Intended purpose
Iris scissors are intended for use by ophthalmologists to perform fine dissection and cutting of iris, conjunctival, and anterior segment ocular tissue during ophthalmic surgery. The scissors are applied to delicate ocular tissue within the anterior segment of the operative eye. The fine sharp blades are designed for precise microsurgical tissue division with minimal adjacent tissue trauma. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
