Intended purpose
Strabismus scissors are intended for use by ophthalmologists to dissect conjunctival tissue and extraocular muscle during strabismus correction surgery. The scissors are applied to the conjunctiva and extraocular muscles of the operative eye. The fine curved blade design allows access to the subconjunctival space for precise tissue dissection. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
