Intended purpose
Emmet needle is intended for use by gynaecologists to pass sutures through cervical and vaginal tissue during gynaecological repair and reconstructive procedures. The needle is applied to tissue within the gynaecological operative field of female patients. The curved needle body is designed to access the deep vaginal and cervical tissue planes for suture placement. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
