Intended purpose
Stone forceps are intended for use by surgeons to grasp and retrieve calculi from body cavities or ductal structures during surgical procedures. The forceps are applied to calculi within the operative field. The jaw configuration allows engagement of calculi in different orientations within the target body cavity. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
