Intended purpose
Freer elevator/dissector is intended for use by ENT surgeons to elevate and reflect mucoperiosteum and perichondrium from the nasal septum during septoplasty and nasal reconstructive procedures. The instrument is applied to nasal septal mucosa within the nasal cavity. The blade is introduced in the sub-mucoperichondrial or sub-mucoperiosteal plane and advanced with gentle strokes to complete the flap elevation. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
