Intended purpose
Mangiagalli vaginal valve is intended for use by gynaecologists and obstetricians to retract the vaginal walls and maintain exposure of the vaginal canal and cervix during gynaecological operative procedures. The valve is inserted into the vaginal canal of female patients. The valve is designed to retract vaginal walls without obstructing access to the cervix and uterine os. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
