Intended purpose
Bakes common bile duct dilator is intended for use by hepatobiliary and general surgeons to progressively dilate the common bile duct during cholecystectomy and biliary surgical procedures. The dilator is introduced through the choledochotomy incision into the common bile duct. The rounded tip is designed to pass through the common bile duct without mucosal injury. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
