Intended purpose
Tracheal retractor is intended for use by surgeons to retract and expose the trachea and surrounding anterior neck structures during tracheotomy and surgical procedures on the anterior neck. The instrument is applied to soft tissue within the anterior neck operative field. The hook design engages the tracheal ring to provide stable elevation and exposure of the tracheal lumen. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
