Intended purpose
Farabeuf bone raspatory is intended for use by orthopaedic surgeons to strip periosteum from the bone surface and smooth bone edges during orthopaedic operative procedures. The raspatory is applied to periosteum and cortical bone surface within the operative surgical field. The curved raspatory profile is designed to access the rib and bone surfaces in thoracic and orthopaedic procedures. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
