Intended purpose
Resano rectal clamp is intended for use by colorectal surgeons to occlude the rectum during colorectal resection and anastomosis procedures. The clamp is applied to rectal tissue within the pelvic operative field. The jaw design provides secure rectal occlusion without crushing the mucosa during bowel resection. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
