Intended purpose
Dental root/apical elevator is intended for use by oral surgeons and dentists to loosen and elevate tooth roots or root fragments from the dental alveolus during extraction procedures within the oral cavity. The elevator is applied to the root surface and alveolar socket. The lever principle is applied between the elevator tip and the alveolar bone socket to deliver a controlled luxation force to the root. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
