Intended purpose
Barraquer injection cannula is intended for use by ophthalmologists to deliver enzymatic agents or irrigating solutions into the anterior chamber during cataract surgical procedures. The cannula is introduced into the anterior chamber of the operative eye. The blunt bulbous tip directs fluid flow into the anterior chamber without traumatising adjacent ocular structures. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
