Intended purpose
Charleux suction cannula is intended for use by ophthalmologists to aspirate vitreous fluid and lens material during vitreoretinal and posterior segment surgical procedures. The cannula is applied to the vitreous cavity of the operative eye. The cannula provides controlled negative pressure aspiration of vitreous or lens material during posterior segment procedures. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
