Intended purpose
Bronchial clamp is intended for use by thoracic surgeons to occlude a bronchus during pulmonary resection and thoracic surgical procedures. The clamp is applied to bronchial tissue within the thoracic operative field. The jaw design provides controlled bronchial lumen occlusion to prevent air leak and secretion spillage during pulmonary resection. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
