Intended purpose
Doyen retractor is intended for use by gynaecologists and general surgeons to retract abdominal and pelvic organs and maintain operative exposure during open abdominal and gynaecological procedures. The retractor is applied to visceral structures within the abdominal or pelvic operative field. The broad blade design provides wide retraction of abdominal and pelvic contents to maintain operative exposure. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
