Intended purpose
Ear irrigation syringe is intended for use by nursing staff and clinicians to irrigate the external auditory canal with water or saline for cerumen removal in patients with symptomatic cerumen impaction. The syringe directs a controlled stream of warm water or saline against the posterior external auditory canal wall to dislodge and flush out cerumen. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
