Intended purpose
Paufique corneal dissector is intended for use by ophthalmologists to dissect the corneal lamellae during lamellar keratoplasty and corneal surgical procedures. The dissector is applied to the corneal stroma of the operative eye. The spatula tip is advanced along the stromal lamellar plane to create a uniform stromal interface at the desired depth. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
