Intended purpose
Kelly proctoscope is intended for use by colorectal surgeons, gastroenterologists, and clinicians to visualise the rectal mucosa and lower rectum during proctoscopic examination and minor anorectal procedures. The proctoscope is introduced through the anal canal into the rectum. The bevelled open-ended design allows visualisation and instrumentation of the lower rectum via the proctoscope lumen. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
