Intended purpose
Doyen intestinal clamp is intended for use by general and colorectal surgeons to temporarily occlude intestinal lumen during bowel resection and anastomosis procedures. The clamp is applied to intestinal tissue within the abdominal operative field. The jaw design provides sufficient lumen occlusion to prevent enteric content spillage during bowel resection and anastomosis. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
