Intended purpose
Laforce adenotome is intended for use by ENT surgeons to resect adenoid tissue from the nasopharynx during adenoidectomy. The instrument is introduced through the oropharynx into the nasopharynx of patients. The adenoid tissue is engaged by the cutting edge of the adenotome and removed in a single controlled sweeping motion. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
