Intended purpose
Foreign body lever is intended for use by ENT surgeons and clinicians to assist in the removal of foreign bodies from the external auditory canal or nasal cavity. The instrument is introduced alongside the foreign body to provide a lever fulcrum for extraction. The lever design allows atraumatic passage alongside the foreign body within the restricted anatomy of the body cavity. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
