Intended purpose
Ear hook is intended for use by otologists and ENT surgeons to manipulate and retrieve foreign bodies, tissue, and cerumen from within the external auditory canal during otological examination and operative procedures. The fine hook profile allows passage behind foreign bodies and cerumen plugs for atraumatic removal. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
