Intended purpose
Ear speculum is intended for use by otologists, ENT surgeons, and audiologists to dilate and maintain the opening of the external auditory canal during otoscopic examination and operative procedures on the ear. The speculum is inserted into the external auditory meatus of patients. The speculum is available in graduated sizes to accommodate varying external auditory canal diameters. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
