Intended purpose
Vaginal valve is intended for use by gynaecologists and obstetricians to retract the vaginal walls and maintain exposure of the vaginal canal during gynaecological examination and operative procedures. The valve is inserted into the vaginal canal of female patients. The weighted or handled design provides sustained retraction of the vaginal walls during gynaecological procedures. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
